THE NEW ACADEMY

There are three tiers on this site for members. These tiers are the subscriber tier, the contributor tier, and the editor tier.

Subscribers

Tier one is the subscriber tier. Members at this level can read posts and comment on them. This is the default user level. To subscribe, simply create an account. To become a contributor, become a subscriber, and then reach out to the administration of this site. Be sure to provide a sample of your work. Editors are generally selected based on proven ability to apply SEO and readability principles without sacrificing the tone or essence of the content.

Contributing Members

If you are interested in becoming a contributor, please become a subscriber, and then submit your work to us. Once you’ve been approved, we’ll simply add the necessary permissions to your account. Then, you can create new posts to the website. Contributing members of this site can submit posts through the website. The editors then edit them for SEO and readability. This is an important step. We don’t intend to water down your work. However, we do intend to make it more visible to search engines. We want to showcase our members’ work, here, and so we submit it to an SEO and readability editing process while preserving the essence of the content itself. Remember that you can always publish your unedited work elsewhere, as well. Furthermore, you can even link to it in your posts, here.

Editors

We are careful about how we select our editors. Editors should be contributing members that have demonstrated certain concrete competencies. For one thing, they need to be familiar with SEO. For another, they need to show that they can produce interesting, readable content themselves. Most importantly, they need to demonstrate that they can perceive and preserve the subtleties of the content they edit. If you’re already a contributing member, and you’d like to become an editor, let us know. We will evaluate you and consider you for the role.
